India has every cars like suv,mpv,super,exotic categories.But there are some cars which people forgot or doesn't know about the existence of those cars.In this blog i will show you the forgotten cars which were in India.


    1. Tata Estate



Tata Estate was a 5 seater station wagon launched by TATA motors in 1992 and it was the company's first station wagon launched in india.It was having peugeot sourced 1.9 litre diesel engine which gives 68 hp of power and 118 Nm of torque sourced with a 5 speed manual transmission.This car was discontinued in 2000 because of low demand of station wagons which was the main reason.

2. Tata Indigo Marina



Indigo Marina was TATA motors second station wagon afer the TATA estate it is a extended version of indigo/indica and it was launched in 2004.It was offered with 1.4 litre diesel engine which gives 70 hp of power and 132 Nm of torque mated with a 5 speed manual transmission.This car was discontinued in 2010.

3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Altura




Maruti Baleno station wagon/altura was launched after the sedan version of baleno.
it was more spacious than the sedan baleno and it offered more features than the sedan one like alloy wheels,speed sensitive power steering and all four power windows.It was offered with 1.6 litre four cylinder petrol engine which makes 96 hp of power.It was discontinued before the sedan because low demand of long station wagons and baleno/baleno altura are now replaced by baleno hatchback.


4.Chevrolet Optra

Chevrolet Optra was a Five seater sedan which was launched in India on 2003.It was a great car with good amount of features and offered with a big engine it was present with 2.0 litre engine.This car discontinued in India on 2007 because of its low sales.

5.Chevrolet Captiva




The Captiva was one of the most powerful and stylish 7 seater suv which was launched in India in 2008 this car was very ahead of its time and offered those features which other indian cars doesn't have in that time.It was sourced with 2.2 litre diesel engine with 6 speed manual and automatic transmission options and this car was discontinued in India on 2013.

6.Hyundai Getz



Hyundai Getz was a 5 seater hatchback it was launched in india on 2004 and it was available with 1.4 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine which makes 83 hp of power and 115 Nm of torque.It was one of the most powerful hatchback of its time but its sales were eaten by maruti suzuki zen and getz got discontinued in 2007 before coming of i10.

7.Daewoo Matiz



Daewoo Matiz was a five seater hatchback it was launched in 1998 and was company's huge success car in other countries.In india it was a disaster for Daewoo motors it was fairly sold in india by some factors like expensive service,looks and reliability issues.This car was equipped with 1.0 litre petrol engine and this car was discontinued in 2000.

8.Mitsubhishi Cedia



Mitsubhishi Cedia was launched in 2006 and it was a very stylish and a new version of the legendary Lancer.It was offered with a powerful 2 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine which makes 115 hp of power and 175 Nm of torque it was offered with two variants elegance and sports and offered with a very premium looking interiors.It failed in Indian market because of expensive and less network of service from mitsubhishi.

9.Opel Vectra C





Opel vectra was a 5 seater premium sedan it was sold from 2003-2005 in India.It was way ahead of its time which deserved to be sell well it was also available with sunroof at that time and was loaded with ton of safety features like abs,ebd,tpms and 4 airbags which was excellent package provided in this vehicle.It was available with 2.2 litre petrol engine which produces 147 hp of power and 203 Nm of torque.


10.Skoda Fabia





Skoda Fabia was a 5 seater hatchback it was launched to give competetion to maruti swift
but because of swift this car doesn't sell well even though it was having more features than swift like projector headlamps,alloys and abs it was available in both petrol and diesel engines which are 1.2 litre petrol,1.4 litre diesel and most powerful 1.6 litre petrol engine.
